The inaugural Champions Kabaddi League (CKL) concluded successfully in the Kingdom of Bahrain, showcasing remarkable sporting talent and drawing enthusiastic fans and dignitaries alike. This prestigious league was organized by Mr. Hitesh Sikka and Rajat Sehgal, founders of the Champions Kabaddi League, alongside co-founder Mr. Jagdeep Pal Singh, in partnership with the Bahrain Kabaddi Committee.

A Memorable Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony was honored by the presence of H.E. Mr. Md. Rais Hasan Sarower, NDC, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Bahrain, who was the chief guest. In his address, he commended the organizers for delivering a world-class sporting event that not only highlighted kabaddi but also fostered cultural and sporting relations among the participating communities. The attention to detail and the professional execution of the tournament were also recognized by Mr. Mohammed Mansoor and Mr. Sami Ali, both key figures in the Bahrain Cricket Federation and the Bahrain Kabaddi Committee. They emphasized the significant role such events play in promoting youth participation and advancing sports development in Bahrain.

Gratitude and Future Promises

Mr. Hitesh Sikka, speaking on behalf of the organizing committee, expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the CKL's vision. This includes participating teams, technical officials, referees, volunteers, sponsors, media partners, and supporters, all of whom were vital to the event's success. The league also received special support from the General Sports Authority and the Bahrain Olympic Committee, as well as remarkable performances from artists like Sonia Majeed, who sang the Champions Kabaddi League anthem during the event.

Furthermore, the invaluable guidance of Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, the league commissioner, helped uphold the highest technical standards throughout the tournament. The CKL culminated in an exhilarating championship match where the Fearless Fighters triumphed, defeating Gulf Titan with a score of 27-08.
